Lucid Media is a rapidly growing digital media and music publishing platform based in New Jersey, highlighting the most exciting emerging talent in independent music. Since our launch in 2023, we have established ourselves as a trusted source for discovering underground music, promoting artists, and providing sync licensing opportunities for rising musicians across various genres, including hip-hop, indie rock, jazz, soul, and experimental sounds.

Our Roots
Lucid Media started in the vibrant DIY music scene of South Jersey. We began by recording shows in basements, organizing community events, and capturing the raw energy of live performances. Our first recap, filmed at Anchor Rock Club, established our mission: to document genuine stories from real artists.
From booking local showcases like Holiday Treason, to writing weekly blog posts and growing an engaged music community, Lucid Media has always been about uplifting grassroots talent and giving artists the media and industry support they often lack.
Meet the Founder
Founded by Justin “JD” Martin, Lucid Media is built on a legacy of music, education, and community. A Burlington, NJ native raised on funk, jazz, and hip-hop, JD brings years of experience as a performer, writer, and music business advocate. His editorial work has appeared in publications such as We Are Jersey, Blood Makes Noise, Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation and more.
As a publisher registered with ASCAP, Lucid Media now represents a growing roster of local artists for non-exclusive sync licensing, offering them real revenue opportunities through TV, film, web, and brand placements.
